YouTube Adding Improved Anti-Duplication and Geo-blocking Features For Partners
TechCrunch got the scoop this morning on some new features that YouTube is offering to it’s corporate partners…

The new features enable large corporate uploaders a far easier way to protect against duplicate videos being uploaded by other users. With one button – “Enable Auto Block outside Ownership”, users can auto prevent any other users from uploading a duplicate video.
The second feature is ‘Block by country’. This is an improved geo-blocking feature, which allows partners to block access to specific videos by country of origin. Previously, partners were only able to block ALL of their videos from being accessed from specific countries.
Looks like Google is continuing the long slog of making Youtube more corporate friendly. On our end, we hope this means improved access to movie trailers and the like (without those annoying in-video comments and spam links!).
